You can set Ignition Clients to log in automatically when launched. This is done by specifying the Auto Login settings in the Client section of the Project Properties window.

[00:00] You can set up Ignition clients to automatically log in by going into the designer and under project and then properties. And then into the client login page. You can see on the bottom half here that we have this enable auto-login check box. And once you've selected that, you can type in whatever username and password you want to have automatically log in. Now I've created another user called guest. And once I have that information filled in, then I'll hit OK and then I'm going to save my project. And now when I open a new client, it's going to automatically log in and go into the open on startup screen for me. And there we are. And if you look in the upper right-hand corner here, you can see that we're logged in as guest. And if I wanted to now, I could click on the switch user link. And that'll open up this little pop-up here. Now I can log in with my admin password and username combination. And now I'll have that administrator role. This is very helpful if you have clients that need to be auto logged in like touchscreen computers out in your facility. And then you can allow your users to elevate their permissions whenever they need to in order to actually interact with their process.
