[00:00] In this lesson, I'll demonstrate how to create a tag history binding in Vision to visualize data from the historian. I have some simulated tags that I've been storing tag history on, and I'd like to display the historical data for these tags on my window. I'll select my Sparkline chart and then I can add a tag history binding to any dataset type properties. I can see that the data property is a dataset as it has multiple rows and columns, and I can also hover over the property name to see the data type. I'll add a binding and then select tag history. I'll drill into my available historical tags and choose my Randomdouble1 tag, and then I can drag that over to the selected historical tags box. Next, I'll need to choose a date range for the data. If I choose a historical date range, I'll need to bind the start and end dates to properties on the window, so I'll switch this to a realtime date range and pull historical data for the most recent 60 seconds. I'll leave the aggregation mode, return format, and sample size properties alone and ignore the advanced properties at this time. If you'd like more information about these properties, we have some videos on tag history, and I'll also provide a link to our user manual page below the video.

[01:13] One other setting that I'd like to change is the polling mode. It's currently set to off, so the data isn't set to update. I'll set this to absolute instead and make the sparkline chart update every 30 seconds. With that, I can click OK and close the window. Now I have historian data displayed in my chart. I also have a table on my window, and I'd like to use it to display data for multiple historical tags. I'll select my table and add a tag history binding to the data property. This time, I can click and drag multiple tags over to the selected historical tags box. Just like before, I'll make this pull data from the most recent 60 seconds. I'll leave the aggregation mode, return format, and sample size, and I'll leave polling off and click OK. Now I have both a chart and a text representation of historian data that I can quickly reference from within my Vision project.
